Who Am I?

Hi there! My name is Stacy, and I’m an author of fantasy fiction. Storytelling is something near to my heart, and my writing journey has been anything but expected.

While earning my PhD in English at the University of Notre Dame, I became interested in understudied women writers from the 19th and 20th centuries. I was fascinated by how women during these time periods carved out spaces for themselves where they could feel empowered. That, combined with my interest in tarot reading and magical realism, led me to start writing fiction about witches, sisterhood, and finding hope in seemingly impossible circumstances. And my passion for storytelling of a entirely new sort was born.

In addition to being a novelist and a scholar, I’m also a professor of writing and literature, a multi-media artist, and the  proud parent of two cats.

Thanks for stopping by.
